Mounting this was pretty easy since my husband did it! Really though, he was able to get this up and on the pole in about 5 minutes. The mounting pole bracket is pretty stout so it is holding it into place well. We just had 30 mph winds with gusts of 50 mph and the light is still there and in the same spot.
The solar panels and charging seem to work really good. The light stays on all night so far and we are in the dead of winter with no actual direct sunlight. We have it set for 30% brightness until motion detection, then it bumps it up to 100% for 10 seconds. We did leave it on all night at 75% one night and it was still lit up when we got up so it charges well and the battery life seems pretty good.
The motion detection works, sometimes, sometimes it doesn't, not sure what's going on there. I wish it had better consistency, or a sensitivity adjustment. I think if they were to need an improvement it would be in the motion detection category.
I didn't take away a star because i still feel like it is a good quality light and the motion detection does work, just not as well as i would like it to, and i think it could use improvement. Also, i did reach out to customer service and they were helpful and attentive to my emails.
