This is a nice little mower. I have it to my brother in law and he told me it worked just fine. He did say that the mulching feature is only worth while if the grass is already short. He said it didn't do too well when the grass is tall. The power drive worked well he said. It could be a little faster he said. All in all he said this is a fine little mower and it works just fine.

I really like this mower,the first thing that caught my eye is the plastic housing around the engine, making it easy to clean. I like how it folds for storage because my shed isn't very big so this helps. I also like how it has height adjustment because I'm short and need all the help I can get. This only took 15 minutes to assemble which is nice. I also like the mower bag it holds 18 gallons of mulched grass and leaves. Which is a great feature because I have lots of trees in my yard and I like to mulch the leaves. I also like thatvit is easy to maneuver. I hope this mower lasts for many years.

Fast Assembly

Great mower.Engine powers through high spots without stalling.Rear wheel drive performs well with a brisk pace needed to keep in full engagement continuously.Would not recommend for use by operators with physical limitations or health issues.                          Mower arrived earlier than scheduled and had no freight damage when opened.Engine started after 5 pulls and ran great on initial mow.

Great value for a rear self propelled mower.

Mower arrived with no damage at all. And it started the first pull.  I did pump the primer bubble a few extra times. After each time the mower shuts down, I have to repeat that process. It has a lot of power and will finely mulch my leaves. The only issue I had was that it 'loped' a little when I first started it. After it warmed up, I adjusted the phillips head screw on the carb and smoothed out. Hopefully I get a couple seasons out of it. If so, it'll be well worth what I paid. If you can't get a good hard pull on the starter rope, this may not be for you. It does take a little more oomph to get it going.  So far,  I'm happy with my purchase.

I love this mower. Mine was getting old and hard to start. This mower can be used 3 ways but I use only the mulching system. Very easy to start after putting it together which was suprising easy. Directions were easy to follow. Easy to start and the self propelling function makes it easy to mow uphill. My yard goes uphill and there is no flat area anywhere. This makes mowing my yard easier and have less pain after using it. Definitely would recommend this mower to anyone who wants a easy, well made mower.

Sturdy and well made

This PowerSmart Gas Self Propelled Lawn Mower DB2194SH is easy to assemble as all you have to do is unfold handlebars and tighten a few nuts and add either a side discharge chute or mulch clippings bag. Just add gas and oil and it's ready to crank after priming the carb. Only took 3 pulls with a cold engine. The first problem I ran into was adding oil. It says in the manual it will need about a quart of oil but when I got to about half that, the oil came out of the engine so either the user's manual was wrong about the amount, or it had some oil in it. It was a pain to clean it up and drain to the right amount on the oil dip stick. Also, it would have been nice to have the type of oil plug that you attach a hose to so the oil drains off to the sides or front and not on the mowers deck. The flap in the rear to help deflect rocks etc. from hitting your feet looks bad like it's going to come off and the side discharge chute you add if not using the bag fell off once while we were using it. It's speed when you activate the self-propel is a very brisk walk, too fast for us in our 60's and only mowing uphill would we use it. The main problem we have with the mower though is its front wheel position height adjustment. It is so loose, not snapping into its notches that it fell down to the lowest setting 3 times in less than 10 minutes, shaving the grass. The back wheel adjustment isn't that tight either and may do the same thing if the mower hit a good-sized bump while mowing. This mower should always be used in the highest height setting in my opinion. Since I couldn't figure out how to fix that problem, I'll probably add some taller wheels to it. As far as the mowing part, it did seem to do good, with even grass cutting. With height adjust problem not locking in place and too fast walk behind speed, it's just fair mower in our opinion.

The front wheel height adjustment fails

This is not just about this specific item, but also pertaining to Walmart as a whole.  From their warehouse,  customer service,  corporate,  complaints, etc. I have attempted to purchase item back in November and here we are end of February.  Since I have written emails, called customer service and or corporate over 14 times wasting multiple hours on the phone with them. 4 items later each one been sent to me has been broken or had something wrong. Not one but 4 times they have sent this item and something has been wrong. This is completely unacceptable.  Unless if you buy something in store I would not purchase anything from Walmart online where you have to deal with online return, can't see the item, they are limited on returning even if it's their fault etc.

Terrible customer service is an understatement.

Bought Nov 2022, first use in 2023 (didn't use purchase because it's been cold and grass didn't grow), the plastic eye that holds the draw string to start the mower already broke.  Can't return it because I bought it at end of last year.  Now I have to start by pulling from the motor instead.
