This is the perfect bedside/office trash bin. It is small enough to fit into place but it is still big on the inside and the step on lid opener is great for hands free access. There is even a bar on the inside that keeps your bag in place so it does not move around or sink in. I especially like the chrome finish, In a kitchen it would match other appliances and pulls everything together.

Miscalculated the size, definitely not big enough for a kitchen, unless you like a small trash can for your kitchen. Used it for my bathroom instead. Looks and works great!

This is perfect for a teen's bedroom. It uses a 4 gallon size trash bag. I like the fact that it contains odors until my son throws his garbage out. The can has an inner liner to make taking out the garbage and cleaning the can quite simple.

Very useful. The stainless steel goes with any type of home decor you have.
Every room should have at least one, I'm convinced now.

Sleek and compact

This trash can is the perfect size for a household of 4 that takes he kitchen trash out on a daily basis or at least every other day to avoid odors in the house. We use it for the recycling items. They used to sit around on the counter until someone took them down to the garage. Now we collect them in this little bin. No more hauling if several bottles and glasses juggling them around in 2 hands. The trash can has a little bucket that can easily be removed. I like that the shape is rectangle versus round as it fits nicely in every corner of the house. A nice feature is the lid that closes slowly and without a sound. The stainless steal makes it look not only very elegant but also goes with pretty much every decor. Highly recommended.

Perfect size, love the closing feature

Great small trash can. Slow closing lid is nice. It is a little awkward with a bag in it. I didn't particularly like the foot pedal because it limited where it could be placed. I did love the stainless steel look. All in all a great small trash can which we placed in a small office.

My kids have been doing distance learning for what seems like 89 months. My eldest likes to munch and learn. We had food wrappers and paper plates all over his workspace. He was using a plastic trash can with a lid, and the dogs dug into that sucker every second my son had his back turned. It was a disaster, trash everywhere! Welp, this Better Homes & Gardens stainless steel trash can changed everything. It's the perfect size to keep alongside a computer desk. Stainless steel keeps all the nasty smells in while keeping the dogs out! Now I don't have to get rid of my teenager, or my dogs.

First of all the trash can arrived with a dent in the back of it. The box was not damaged at all so this is obviously a quality control issue. Either it was packed that way originally or someone returned it damaged and it wasn't looked at before being put back into stock. The dent doesn't hinder how it works and it's not visible but I know it's there and I'm annoyed by it. 
Otherwise this trash can is the perfect size for my needs. I bought 6 gallon trash bags for it and they fit perfectly. I like the foot pedal opener, opens smoothly with no issues so far. I would recommend.

Arrived dented but would recommend

The items arrived on time but without a box and multiple dents. This was purchased as a gift and sent directly to the recipient heading off to college and I'm embarrassed it arrived they way it did.

The product itself is fine, but unfortunately it arrived unprotected and there were ding’s all over it, also the shipping label attached to the top meant for some sticky residue and remnants of the label still stuck on. For $30 bucks it could have been shipped with a little more care
